Dogo, if you are happy to find out the price later
Dogo publishes a 7-day free trial and no price at all: not on its store listing, not on dogo.app. The amount appears only on the paywall inside the app after the trial starts, so "free" here means free for a week and unknown after that.

Is there a completely free dog training app?
Pupford's 30 Day Perfect Pup course is the closest: it is free, taught by Zak George, and there is no trial to remember to cancel. Everything else on this list is free to download with the substantial content behind a subscription. Barksy is free to download, and most plans start with a 3-day free trial.
What does "free" actually mean for a dog training app?
Usually one of three things: a free download with everything paid, a free trial that converts, or a genuinely free course. The category is bad at saying which. Woofz, Baxter & Bella, Toffy AI publish nothing at all about what stays usable once you stop paying, so those cells on this page say "not published" rather than a guess.
Which app is cheapest overall?
Over a year or two, the one you can stop paying for. Barksy lists weekly $4.99 to $9.99, yearly $14.99 to $39.99, lifetime $49.99 on its App Store page, including a one-time lifetime plan at $49.99 with nothing to renew, and Baxter & Bella charges $238 once. Every other app here renews until you cancel it, so a cheap weekly price is the most expensive option on a long enough timeline.
Are free dog training apps any good?
For the basics, some are genuinely fine, and Pupford's course is a real one. Where free runs out is depth and specificity: the guide for your particular problem at eleven at night is the part somebody has to be paid to write, and it is usually the part behind the paywall.
How do I avoid being charged after a free trial?
Cancel in the store, not in the app: on iPhone through Settings and your Apple account subscriptions, on Android through the Play Store. Note the date the trial ends when you start it. Trial lengths vary by plan even inside one app, and six of the ten apps on this page do not publish theirs anywhere.
